  • David Foster (shown here with his friend Gracie) is National Strategic Advisor for Morris Communications, and has been a leader within the independent magazine community for years. In April 2005, Dave was diagnosed with Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma, Stage 4, the sixth deadliest cancer, behind lung, liver, and breast. In emails to his ‘wellness group’ of friends and colleagues, Dave began chronicling his battle with the disease. In this blog, Dave Foster continues to “kick cancer’s arse”, sharing his story with a wider audience.

It is your choice.
My advice is to go ahead and take the Torisel. Appetite is decent, some fatigue, nothing like taking Sutent.
I believe you will still consider this quality living, next to what you have been suffering.

Plus, consider the anxiety and fear your wife will feel,worrying, wondering.This journey is being traveled by both of you after all...

I too have been following you on this journey, when we don't hear I worry about you!

First I want to wish youself and Sherry a Merry Christmas and my blessings for a resurgence of appetite and all the best that a new year can bring. You are one trooper David with a wonderful sense of humor that trickles on to make each of our days happier. I've been keeping up on your blogs even though not taking time to leave a comment. Today it's sunny outside and cold and tomorrow promises a good old 'nor wester.. Try you best now to eat something and regain a little energy...You can do it! Heck, you have shown all of us how to kick cancer's arse, so keep the faith!
